Avoiding on shelf products that have so many unnatural ingredients, home remedies are more affordable but a yet a good way of getting rid of acne.

Drinking sufficient water, eating the right vitamins and doing ample exercise is the greatest home remedy that helps acne. These will purify the body and give the skin a glow. Although these techniques take longer to work, they keep the face clearer for a longer time. For a remedy that works quicker, simple treatments can be used to decrease the possibility of an acne attack. The ingredients of these cures come from your kitchen cupboards.

The most well known home cure for acne is toothpaste. Once you see a spot, put toothpaste on it to prevent it from puffing up. Toothpaste also helps dehydrate the pimple. Do not press the pimple before you apply the toothpaste. You will be left with a mark on your face.

Fresh mint is put on the zits is a great alternative to toothpaste. Mint and turmeric powder together also has impressive healing properties. The swollenness will go down instantly. Remember to wash your face after a while so that you are not left yellow.

Many feel that lemon juice is a great way to get rid of acne. Lemon helps dry the pimple. It also helps take away dark marks left by the pimple. Because lemon dries out the spot, it might dry out the skin as well. It may leave the face feeling rough and hard. To prevent this, you should always use a light day cream on your face afterwards.

Another home remedy for acne that can be found in your kitchen is vinegar and salt. Not only are these two good for fish and chips, but blending them together and putting them on spots is very helpful. Salt has great healing property. Because vinegar is so powerful, it needs to washed off thoroughly after a few minutes.

A daily dose of cucumber on the skin is an awesome acne cure. Cucumber contains lots of aqua and leaves the skin fresh. Finely chop the cucumber and dispense it over the whole face. This vegetable might be meant for stopping zits from forming but, it can still be used if there are existing pimples on the skin. To help heal zits, use garlic. The smell might be strong but it does eradicate pimples. Crush the fresh garlic into minute pieces and apply on the spot only. It is not necessary to apply the garlic to the whole face though.

To stop yourself from spending a lot on products that might work, it is much safer to try home treatments that are so much better and clean.
