Can anti aging creams help you lose wrinkles?

April 30, 2009 by Sandy Hussman · Leave a Comment

by Sandy Hussman

Every year, Americans spend over $12 billion on products to hide or reduce the signs of aging. With Americas preoccupation of looking young, this industry has become a booming market for those attempting to defy nature.

The least expensive and most commonly used form of wrinkle reduction is the use of anti-wrinkle creams. There are many types of cosmetic creams on the market today. These products work by peeling off the outer layer of your skin to expose the newer and healthier skin underneath, as well as to promote healthy skin growth. The most common ingredients in anti-wrinkle creams are alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) and beta hydroxy acids (BHA). Most wrinkle creams also contain vitamin supplements to infuse the much-needed nutrients that the skin is lacking.

There are some risks in using these products, such as possible risks of long-term skin damage. Research done by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has revealed that long-term use of these products has been known to cause the skin to be more susceptible to sun damage. They warn that if you are using products containing AHA or BHA that you use the ones with lower concentration of these acids, as well as use sun block with a sun protection factor of greater than 15.

If used with care, anti-wrinkle creams can rejuvenate your skin and make it look like you are years younger. However, the easiest form of skin care is to avoid factors that cause premature aging on your skin. Staying away from suntan beds, avoiding unprotected exposure to the sun, and smoking can greatly reduce untimely wrinkles on your skin. These factors could give you wrinkles as early as your late teens if not avoided. You could also watch out for your facial habits that could cause creases on your skin, and re-train your facial muscles to move differently.

Similarly, some other natural and organic materials are very beneficial for our skin. These creams and lotions should be applied regularly on the face and other parts of the body to prevent premature wrinkles, dryness and other aging signs. They give a person confidence over their appearance and bring back the youthful glow and radiance of their skin.

What Makes A Good Body Butter?

April 29, 2009 by Janice Chee · 1 Comment

by Janice Chee

Having good eating habits is very important. We are reminded of this each time we read some magazines, watch TV, and on the billboard ads along the highway. We are reminded what we are supposed to eat, what exercise we have to do regularly, and the different vitamins that we should take. Sometimes when we do our shopping we take time to look on the labels of different items and see if it will be good for us.

We are always conscious of what we eat we tend to stay away to products that contains chemicals and preservatives since they will only harm the body. However do you consider taking a time to read the label of the products that you apply on your skin? I bet probably not. We never bother ourselves knowing the ingredients of the body lotion that we always use on our skin.

A good facial cream or body lotion should contain natural butters. Some examples of these good butters are kokum butter, shea butter, and cocoa butter.

kokum butter comes from garcinia tree. It is good for generating new cell in the skin. Aside from that it also repairs damage cells of the body. It also helps in making the skin more elastic and flexible.

Shea butter comes from karite tree. If you want a natural glowing skin, this butter is the best for you. Some cosmetics are made from this butter since it is water resistant and has a breathable film.

Cocoa butter is rich in vitamin E and is known for its antioxidant effect. This butter is used in aromatherapy massage since they have a calming effect and help in relaxation. Cocoa butter can be absorbed by the skin easily and can help hydrate the skin. It comes from the roasted seeds of the cacao tree.

Now that you know about these you now have to check the cover or label of your body care products and see if they contain natural and organic ingredients. We have to take care of our skin not only because they are the largest organ of the body but also because having a great skin can help us glow and stay young.

How To Naturally Cure Acne

April 28, 2009 by Warren Campbell · 1 Comment

by Warren Campbell

Everybody has had some form of acne in their lifetime. As teenagers we remember the days that breakouts seemed to just happen overnight, both boys and girls were susceptible to these. But in time most people out grow this stage and develop clean healthy skin. There are some that just don't get to this stage no matter how often they wash their face or how many creams they apply. There are many adults who suffer from problem acne for most of their lives, causing them to suffer from social anxiety and possibly depression.

There are ways to cure acne at any age and here I will show you how to naturally cure acne with a long term diet. This is not a quick fix to an acne problem, this is a change in lifestyle so results will take time. There are natural methods that will work faster and I suggest if you are looking for a more immediate cure you research them but over time these methods I discuss will decrease the appearance of acne.

The Clear Skin Diet: The over production of Sebum is a direct cause of acne. The sebum is naturally produced where hair grows and it can block pores if it is overly produced. One potential way of fixing this is through your diet. Before starting a diet program you may want to seek the advice of a qualified Nutritionist as every digestion system is unique and every body processes food differently. Here are the rough guidelines for the diet.

Water: It imperative that you drink at least 6 glasses a day. Water is a natural cleanser of the skin.

Fiber: Eat as many grains and beans as possible as fiber is one of the keys to this diet. Fish Oil: 1 tablespoon of fish oil daily.

Orange and yellow fruits: 5 colorful fruits per day. Yellow/red/orange No dairy foods: Use alternatives such as Soya and Tofu.

Anti-Aging Skin Treatment – 5 Steps For a Beautiful and Younger Skin

April 27, 2009 by Peter · Leave a Comment

by Marcus

The best anti aging skin treatment exists. All you require is the correct knowledge to discover the best anti aging skin care treatment products for yourself. The most essential thing to take note of is the quality of the ingredients used in the production of the skin care products, because most of the manufacturers have their profit on the top of their mind and do not pay any attention to the consumer's skin health. They are sold just to get their commercial objectives. Here are the key points you should keep in mind for the best anti aging skin treatment. It is easy to find the right anti aging skin care treatment products. Focus on the ingredients used and check whether they are scientifically proven in providing superb skin health and vitality.

There are many treatments available for getting rid of wrinkles such as laser resurfacing, chemical peels, botox injections, face lifts, radio wave frequency, microdermabrasion, etc. Although they are effective, they still suffer from many drawbacks. Laser resurfacing treats wrinkles by removing the upper layer of the skin. The skin below is much younger and devoid of wrinkles. The drawbacks of this therapy include permanent pigment discoloration, permanent scarring, painful process, recovery downtime and it is also costly.

2) Search for antioxidants like natural vitamin E, Coenzyme Q10 in the anti aging skin care treatment products. These are necessary to fight the free radicals, which cause extensive damage to skin cells and tissues.

3) Search for natural ingredients like Cynergy TK, Phytessence Wakame and Nano-Lipobelle H EQ10 which play an amazing role in skin rejuvenation. They facilitate in enhancing the natural production of collagen and elastin, which are responsible for giving a firm, supple, pliant and elastic skin.

4) A healthy diet rich in minerals, vitamins, calcium and antioxidants is also essential for a youthful and vibrant skin. Eat a lot of green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits and drink plenty of water. Water hydrates the skin efficiently and plays a crucial role in all the body functions.

5) Avoid excessive stress and take sufficient sleep everyday. 7-8 hours of sleep is essential for good skin. Enough sleep keeps a tab on the formation of free radicals and this helps a lot in keeping our skin young and healthy.

Find The Best Wrinkle Cream For Your Skin.

April 26, 2009 by Susan Tanner · 3 Comments

by Jen Hopkins

As anti-aging regimens become more popular, companies are spending more money and time developing anti-wrinkle creams. You can find both women and men anywhere from their 20s and older that use these creams in order to look younger. It may take them several tries before they find a wrinkle cream that best suits their skin.

Not too long ago, I picked up a newspaper and saw an ad for a wrinkle cream, and it got me wondering what the best way to find a wrinkle cream is. I did some research and found information about keeping your skin wrinkle free with suncreen, botox, and anti-aging treatments.

This article made me realize that not every treatment is good for everybody. For example if you have dry skin, you may need a treatment that has oils in it, while if you are prone to acne you do not.

If you are looking for the best wrinkle cream, you should first understand what causes wrinkles. Natural aging, exposure to sun, weight gain and deficiencies in our body cause wrinkles to form all over our body including our face. To combat wrinkles you need to live a healthy life and tackle your wrinkles with a good quality wrinkle cream.

Because some of us have wrinkles because we no longer have as many vitamins in our skin as we age, or may be vitamin deficient it is key to look for creams that have these vitamins. Vitamin A and E are the most important ones to look for. If you are in to natural cosmetics look for these in wrinkle creams too. Many wrinkle creams use natural ingredients such as various herbs to help your skin from aging.

If you still want more information, the internet is a great source. Their are many websites that provide feedback from customers who have used the products. Look for websites where users compare products with ratings or reviews. Even the product's own website may for information from customers about how they worked.

Companies also post results of clinical trials, where they provide useful information about how effective their cream had been in reducing wrinkles and fine lines. Information about clinical trials help to a great extent as you can get details about how effective the cream was and to how many people. This information is provided in percentages, so buyers can compare the information and come to a correct decision.

Some people believe that expensive creams only are effective in reducing wrinkles. But this is not always true; you should opt for a product which is used by the majority. An average priced product can give the same results which are available with an expensive brand. You should also check whether the company gives details about the ingredients used in the cream and their product guarantee policy before buying an anti-wrinkle cream.

Cellulite Causes and Remedies

April 25, 2009 by El Bilson · Leave a Comment

by El Bilson

A cause of emotional stress is often cellulite. This is especially true in women since women are much more likely to get cellulite than men. Cellulite is basically accumulated fat under certain spots of the body, such as the thighs, the hips, and the belly. Needless to say, such problems are difficult to hide with clothing, and can be a source of embarrassment.

The following are all things that can lead to cellulite:

#1 " Heredity. Cellulite is one of those things that gets passed down from generation to generation. You are more likely to get cellulite if your parents and grandparents also suffered from it. It's an unfortunate heirloom that many sufferers have no choice but to deal with.

If you have an older relative who successfully got rid of their cellulite problem, then don't hesitate to ask them how they did it. It's likely that what worked for them will work for you " after all, you do share some of the same genes that are likely causing the problem!

#2 " Medication. Some forms of medication can trigger hormonal changes in the body. These changes can accelerate the accumulation of fat in the body. Such medications include birth control pills, diet pills, and sleeping pills. It's always a good idea to check with your doctor before taking any of these medications, especially if your family has a history of cellulite.

#3 " Smoking. Cellulite is a condition that's affected not only by the buildup of fat under the skin, but also by the condition of the skin itself. Smoking doesn't only cause lung cancer and heart problems " it also weakens the skin and thus making cellulite look even worse. It's never a good idea to smoke. Poor skin with cellulite is just another reason to kick the habit soon.

#4 " Bad eating habits. Eating too much junk and fast food as well as drinking too much caffeine and alcohol is one of the most prominent causes of cellulite. It's not unusual to see kids as young as 14 with cellulite these days, mainly because good eating habits aren't taught well enough at home and school. Unfortunately, there are other problems caused by bad eating habits " you can also add obesity, migraines, vertigo, impotence, and hypertension to the list.

The best foods to counter cellulite involves a diet of much less junk food including fried food, fast food, processed food " and more of the good stuff. Incorporating more fruits and veggies into your diet is a good place to start. You can still have junk food every now and then. Just remember to balance it with healthy food and regular exercise. This will help prevent cellulite from appearing.

#5 " Bad drinking habits. Believe it or not, cellulite is affected by the amount of water you drink. Water is needed by the body to flush toxins out of the body on a daily basis. Some toxins are the leading triggers of cellulite. If you don't drink enough water in a day, too many toxins will be left in the body, and cellulite buildup will be inevitable.

Make sure you drink at least eight glasses of water everyday to keep your skin hydrated. Water will also keep your skin from drying, improving the overall appearance of even your fatty bulges. Fruit juice is also okay, but be careful " some brands of fruit juice have the same amount (sometimes even more) of calories as soda. This can make it harder for you to shed those unwanted slabs of fat.

Now that you know about the most common cellulite causes and how to address them, the next thing you need to remember is to start slowly. Healthy habits can be hard to stick to, but practice makes perfect! Eventually you will see healthier skin as a result of your efforts!

Daily Varicose Vein Deals

April 24, 2009 by Thomas Bonfonte · Leave a Comment

by Thomas Bonfonte

Many of us assume that our healthcare insurance policy covers the cost of spider varicose vein treatment. Yes, there are healthcare companies that may pay for the cost large varicose vein treatments particularly when the varicose veins are in the complicated stage and the patient in already showing indications of complications but the thing is, when it comes to those spider webs, many of these healthcare corporations simply don't think this condition need treatment.

Most healthcare insurance corporations consider spider veins as simply bother and they don't cover the cost of varicose vein treatment of this type. What To Do If Your Insurance does not Cover the price Of Varicose Vein Treatment. There are a number of options that you can take to pay for the cost of varicose vein treatment.

Your first option would be to go for something safe and cheap like natural varicose vein treatment. Some types of natural cures do not even cost you a thing.

As an example, simply elevating your legs to reduce pressure after long hours of standing will already help a lot to manage your symptoms. There are some liniments and lotions that you can use to control your symptoms. A few of these liniments are lotions can be discovered over the counter and are readily accessible.

Second, you can use your savings to pay for the cost of the varicose vein treatment. To do this, you need to take a close look into your fiscal capacity. In this time of commercial problems, you can't afford to just waste your hard earned money even for minor skin treatments. As much as feasible, you should restrict your spending to not more than 30% of your present bank balance.

To grasp if you can afford to pay for the pricetag of varicose vein treatment, ask for a cost assessment from your doctor and then compare the pricetag to the amount of cash that you have in the bank. If the cost of the varicose vein treatment surpasses the 30% cap, find other options to pay for your treatment.

The 3rd option that you have when it comes to paying for the cost of varicose vein treatment is thru money establishments. There are a number of fiscal establishments that offer loans to pay for the cost of varicose vein treatments. However, the catch here is that a number of these finance establishments change big interest on the loan so your treatment will come off as more pricey than it should be.

But then again, if you actually wish to get rid of those hideous looking spider webs on your skin, the cost of varicose vein treatment should be of tiny result to you.

Smoking and Cellulite

April 23, 2009 by El Bilson · Leave a Comment

by El Bilson

You may have wondered if smoking and cellulite go hand in hand. Smoking is one of the most widely practiced bad habits in the United States. The habit slowly destroys your lungs and leaves you at greater risk for lung cancer, throat cancer, and mouth cancer. And while smoking causes problems with all organs of the body, it also deteriorates the quality of your skin.

Cigarette smoke contains many different chemicals - among them, cyanide, benzene, formaldehyde, methanol, acetylene (the fuel used in welding torches), and ammonia. Each of the chemicals found in cigarette smoke are harmful to the body. Some of them are lethal if consumed in any other form, so its no surprise that these toxins can lead to various skin disorders.

One of the ways smoking damages your skin is by affecting collagen. Collagen is the main structural protein of the skin. It helps keep the skin firm and taut. Collagen is also a component of everything from blood vessels to organs. Naturally as a person ages, the cells of the body gradually produces less collagen. Smoking accelerates the breakdown of collagen in the skin and in the body. Collagen breakdown starts at a younger age and a faster rate for regular smokers.

In addition to collagen loss, the body's production of hyaluronic acid is affected by smoking. Hyaluronic acid is a compound produced in the body that adds fullness and tautness to the skin. It helps prevent the hollow look that is often seen in older skin. It works by helping the cells retain moisture. As with collagen, the body naturally produces less hyaluronic acid as it ages. But the free radicals that are either present in cigarette smoke breaks down the chains of hyaluronic acid, leading damaged skin cells.

Both of these problems have great effects on cellulite. Firm skin is able to retain moisture and will be able to better hide the fat that cellulite is present. Think of skin like fabric. Healthy skin is like denim, and can better hide cellulite infected thighs. But skin that has been ravaged by years of smoking is more like spandex - stretchy, weak, and unable to hide anything.

Smoking also affects the quality of the blood and lymphatic vessels. This is due to the fact that both compounds are major components in the pipes that support our blood and lymphatic fluids. Smoking damages the vessels in our body, making them less able to transport nutrients to the organs that need them, including the skin. Smoking also affects blood flow by constricting the vessels. Both of these side effects contribute to poor nutrient transport and fluid retention which can lead to an increase in cellulite.

The only upside to the effects of smoking and cellulite is that the effects of smoking are not seen for awhile. In fact, if you are a younger adult, many of the physical problems that come with smoking may actually be reversed by living a healthy lifestyle. However, the longer you wait, the more irreversible damage that will be done to your body.
