Explaining And Removing Age Spots.

March 28, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

by Peter Albertonach

Age spots are something that are well known to women, and men, in their later years. They can be harmless, tough annoying, but also unsightly and many women are interested in finding out more about removing age spots.

Age spots can be various colors though normally brownish or black, sometimes red. They are sometimes called sun spots or what is technically known as lentigines, and have been known as liver spots because in the past it was thought, incorrectly, that they were a sign of liver disease.

This is now discredited though.

And you ought not confuse sun spots with melanoma. Age spots are harmless but melanoma isn't and if you have any dark colored spots on your skin, either your face or any other piece of skin, get it checked out by a doctor.

What is the cause of liver spots? There are 2 simple causes, age and exposure to the sun. A combination of these two factors can result in the formation of liver spots. UV radiation is the component of sunlight that causes these spots. They are most commonly found on the face and neck, and back of the hands, because these are the areas of skin most commonly exposed to the sun.

In the top layers of the skin between the dermis and the epidermis, as we age, our skin can form collections of skin pigment. As we age our skin cells are less able to regenerate and so these form visible spots on our skin.

Should we treat these spots? Well theres several views and treatments. The first thing to remember though, as long as youve had these spots checked out by a doctor, is that you dont need to remove them from a health point of view. They are harmless and can stay there if you wish.

You may want to remove them because they look unsightly though. For many women, and sometimes men, developing liver spots is concerning because they are so visible, particularly on the face. So how do you go about removing age spots?

There's several options. Some medical. You could, for example, try laser therapy for age spots, though that seems a little unnecessary and may not be successful. Or they can be removed by cryotherapy or the use of extreme cold through, for example, the application of dry ice. In both cases I'd suggest the first stop is at your doctor.

And those aren't the only options. Modern natural skincare products are showing many good advances in reducing the appearance of age spots and if you're aging you really ought to by using good skin care products anyway.

This is because of the skin restorative effects of vitamin E which has a range of anti oxidant properties and other properties beneficial to good skin health. Of course many skin care products already contain vitamin E but you'd be surprised how little is actually in there, and usually a cheaper synthetic form is used which isn't all that effective.

Why is it in those products? So that they can put "Vitamin E" on the label to sell more product.

But the worlds best natural skin care products use a natural form of vitamin E that is at a much higher concentration.

So there's the lowdown on age spots. Or liver or sun spots if you prefer. And there's no need to remove them if you don't want to, as long as you've checked them out with your doctor first. But if you do want to remove them remember there are excellent results being achieved with top quality natural skincare products. It sure beats laser therapy.

Finding The Best Anti Aging And Wrinkle Creams

March 25, 2009 by · 1 Comment

by Jen Hopkins

As we all know, there are so many kinds of anti aging creams and lotions out there today, and its impossible to know what works, and what doesnat. One way to find out without purchasing hundreds of products is to do some research through online websites with helpful product reviews. There are places on the web that can give you all kinds of details about each anti-wrinkle cream and the effect it will have on your skin. All youall need to figure out is what type of skin you have so that you can choose the product which will best suit you.

Due to an increasing awareness of skin-aging factors, consumers are becoming more and more likely to spend money on anti-aging products. Because of this, manufacturers are taking advantage of the demand by coming out with more and more creams and cures for aging skin.

One of the first signs of aging are the crinkly wrinkles at the corners of the eyes. They usually appear between the ages of 30-35, but can occur at a younger age in some people who have been exposed to the elements or harsh chemicals.

Modern scientists have researched and found out that there are some specified components and formulas that work on these ageing factors and minimize them. The wrinkle cream has the anti aging formula that would help you repair your wrinkles and make your face even good looking than before.

The many different companies producing anti-aging products are all using different combinations of ingredients and formulas in their products. These varying ingredients will have different results on different types of skin. Because of this, it will be important to choose the product with the right combination for your skin type.

However, these wrinkle creams are generally quite expensive. This is so because of many reasons involved like the ingredients that are included are costly and if you are in search of natural, pure and safer products, they cost you even more. In addition to this the ingredients that are included in these products are rare to find and difficult to be combined too.

Sometimes only the name or brand and the packaging also increases the cost of skin care products. So it is important that you look into these factors too before buying one for you. The more famous the product is the more you have to pay for it as the price includes its advertisement on TV, magazine or newspaper also. So judge for yourself and decide which product is good and inexpensive for you.

Historically, the desire to look young has always been with us. People have long looked for natural remedies to the aging process. In your search for young looking skin, be sure to research all products as well as you can. It can also be a good idea to consult a dermatologist to see if they have any professional advice for you! If you do all this, you will no doubt find a great product to provide you with beautiful, youthful skin.

Acai Berry Health Benefits

March 21, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

by Mandy Urban

I recently took a survey of middle-aged women at a local mall and discovered the majority of them had heard about the acai berry and recalled a little bit of its health value. When asked, most of them said they heard of it from Oprah or in a magazine somewhere. But its imperative to know the facts about the acai berry if you're interested in buying a product with this newly popular ingredient. Especially, if you're concerned with anti aging products for your skin, like eye wrinkle creams or serums eliminating dark eye circles.

What is acai berry?

It's a berry fruit relative to the blueberry, cranberry and pomegranate fruit family. It's usually about an inch long and is reddish purple, sometimes blue in color. It comes from the acai palm tree found across Central and South America but mostly harvested in rain forests in Brazil.

What are its health benefits?

The research on acai berries is ongoing but there is a general agreement in the medical community that certain substances in them are valuable. They contain high amounts of antioxidants, which is attributed to the existence of anthocyanin. Anthocyanin causes the acai berry and other fruits to appear purplish or blue in color. When consumed, it raises antioxidant levels in the body and fights nearly every type of free radicals.

Penetrating our body in a number of ways, free radicals are toxic particles that damage our immune system. The most exposure to free radicals results from excessive sun exposure, certain foods and impurities in the air. They affect cells in our organs and breakdown DNA, which leads to the development of diseases as well as accelerated aging.

Why is it used in cosmetics?

Our skin is our first method of defense for the rest of our body, but its also most sensitive to free radical damage. If we neglect our skin, the effects will become evident over time. This is how skin develops wrinkles, dark circles under eyes, and can even progress to skin cancer. However, acai berries offer protection from free radicals and other damaging cells by contributing high levels of antioxidants. The oil within the acai berry is particularly rich in antioxidants. Studies have yet to show the precise level of effectiveness when used on the skin, but it has been proven to be a safer alternative to other tropical fruit oils.

The acai berry is garnering a lot of national exposure as a natural ingredient in many anti aging products like eye wrinkle creams, several skin care products and even weight loss products. Research is still being conducted to confirm its effectiveness in these areas, but its believed to be a healthy combatant against certain diseases caused by oxidative stress, as well as aging.

The Best Way To Choose The Wrong Anti Aging Skin Care Products

March 20, 2009 by · 1 Comment

by Peter Albertonach

The anti aging skin care products and cosmetics industries are huge businesses, turning over billions of dollars a year. There are lots of US women looking for solutions to looking younger and looking good, and plenty of big companies that take advantage of this.

But many mainstream anti aging skin care products just don't work. The cosmetics and skin care industry is quite unregulated in the US, and so the big cosmetics and skin care companies can put any product on the market without first proving that it works, and even without showing that it is safe for the people who use it.

So as well as the fact that many skin care products don't work they can contain dangerous ingredients.

But they sell in spades to cater to the desire of so many consumers to look younger, or at least to believe that they will look younger. And so there are hundreds of well known brand name products that promise all sorts of anti aging benefits everywhere you look.

So the challenge for the consumer is to navigate through all the hype and actually find a range of anti-aging skin care products that work and don't contain potentially dangerous ingredients.

Here's how not to choose good anti aging products.

1. Don't buy any skin care products that include fragrances in them. Now of course everyone likes to smell good, and the cosmetics companies pander to that, by adding fragrances to their products. Apply the cream and smell good and look young all at the same time.

But there's 2 problems. Firstly the skin care cream you're buying probably won't do very much to make you look younger.

Secondly, fragrances are not good chemicals to put on your skin. Because that's what they are, chemicals that smell good, and many of them aren't that good for you. It's the same with perfumes, for example, but if you apply a perfume it's only a small squirt on one spot, it's not massaged all over your face where it disappears, into your blood. So just use a perfume instead.

2. Don't buy anti aging skin care creams with collagen in them. Now we all know that as we age our skin loses collagen, so surely we need collagen replaced to combat the sagging and wrinkling and lines that come with skin aging?

Yes and no. Yes we need to replace that lost collagen, and no adding it to the bottles of anti-aging products like those moisturizers and day creams and night creams and so on doesn't work. It doesn't work because collagen molecules are too large to penetrate the skin, and so it just stays on the surface.

The best way to improve the collagen levels in your skin is to stimulate the body to produce more collagen itself.

So why is that collagen in the bottle, and why is that big name celebrity on TV telling you how much younger they look? Because the anti aging companies know that people buy the products if they have collagen in them, so they sell lots of bottles.

Even if it doesn't do anything for you. Even if it's got suspect ingredients. It will sell.

That's how these companies make so much money.

But all this fancy TV advertising costs a bomb, and the celebrity needs her huge cut.

So the anti aging skin care treatment that really doesn't do much costs a bomb too. But that's ok because people believe that if it's expensive it must be good. So they pay anyway.

And there's lots more things to avoid when choosing a good anti-aging skin care treatment. That's 2, for more visit my website.

So maybe you should just give up on anti-aging products because they don't work? No. There are excellent anti-aging products that work fine, are moderately priced and use ingredients known to be safe.

But they are produced by small niche companies that you've probably never heard of, who quietly produce high quality products at reasonable prices because they don't pay the good looking celebrities and spend up big on TV advertising. That's why you've never heard of them. If they started doing that their products would cost a bomb too.

But there's no need to despair. I've told you about some of the things you need to avoid when buying anti-aging skin care products. And that there are excellent alternatives. Now it's up to you. Find out more about natural skin care products on my website.

Choosing The Right Wrinkle Cream

March 10, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

by Jen Hopkins

You know you need a wrinkle cream, but how do you find the one thatas going to work for you? There are dozens of choices at the drugstore, and even some at the grocery store. Or maybe you need one that can be ordered online? Should you trust your friend, whoas encouraging you to try the one she uses, which is sold through network marketing? Should you choose at random, or is there a way to make an informed decision?

Wrinkle cream manufacturers all make similar claims about their products. It reduces fine lines, delays signs of aging, and makes you look younger, all within a relatively short period of time. Advertisersa marketing copy doesnat provide any helpful guidance.

Perhaps you could try asking around? At least with the word-of-mouth approach, you would be getting honest opinions from people who have tried the products you are interested in, as long as youare getting feedback from people you trust.

The problem is that nobody has that many friends and relatives. Combined, your acquaintances barely make a dent in the plethora of wrinkle reducing products. There is also the fact that people's skin is different, and what works wonder for your neighbor might turn out to be utterly ineffective for you.

So where do you look for guidance? There are people and institutions that have done scientific testing on the effects on wrinkle cream, but you generally only hear about it in the form of marketing claims. The only studies that are likely to reach you are the one that show some product to be efficient and superior. But what about all the others? Is there any independent information out there?

Unlike prescription products, which must be compared to a similar moisturizer to test their efficacy over and above a standard product, over the counter creams are usually only tested in a before and after study that looks for some treatment effect.

Fortunately, there is some information available about most common anti-wrinkle ingredients. A type of vitamin A known as retinoids, used in some prescription products, has shown promise, and can be found in some drugstore products as well. It has been shown to be effective for many users, though it may take up to a year for the full effect to be seen. Hydroxy acids and antioxidants have also been tested, though they may not be quite as effective.

The important thing to know about wrinkle creams is that most of their effect comes from the fact that they are designed to moisturize and protect the skin. Why spend 200 dollars on a fancy product when a less expensive one may work just as well? Perhaps the best option is to try an inexpensive drugstore product to see whether it gives you the result you are hoping for. You may be pleasantly surprised to discover that drugstore creams and exclusive anti-aging products show little difference in tests that have compared them.

Argan Oil: The “Gold” Standard of Eye Wrinkle Reducers

February 15, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

by Elena McCree

Argan oil is quickly gaining popularity in North America as the latest anti aging ingredient with potential to transform the skin care industry in 2009. Experts are praising argan oil for its ability to diminish the appearance of eye wrinkles and enhance skin tone for a younger-looking complexion.

Also known as the "Gold of Morocco," argan oil comes from the fruit of the argan tree, which is indigenous to southwestern Morocco. Because the argan tree only grows in this small area, argan oil is one of the rarest oils in the world. For centuries, the Berber women of Morocco have been using and producing argan oil, and the industry is still vital to the area's financial support.

After the fruit pits are broken open, the kernels found inside are put through a cold-press to extract the oil. A cold-press is used to retain all of the oil's nutrients and maximize the many health benefits that the oil provides. For the edible culinary oil, the kernels are roasted before the cold-press process, giving this exotic oil its signature nutty flavor that makes it perfect for salads and dipping bread.

The oil that is extracted from the raw, un-roasted kernels is used for cosmetic purposes. Cosmetic argan oil is making a significant impact in the anti aging industry. It is one of the richest sources of tocopherol, or vitamin E, which seals moisture in the skin, reduces inflammation and protects against the free radical damage that causes eye wrinkles and other signs of aging. It's also rich in the essential fatty acids, oleic and linoleic acids, which hydrate the skin and maintain its resilience.

Skin loses collagen and hydration as it ages, which leads to wrinkles, dark circles and sagging. The eye area has the thinnest, most delicate skin on the face, so wrinkles often appear there first. Argan oil can help to replenish moisture and reinforce the skin in this fragile area, reducing eye wrinkles and protecting the skin from additional harm.

Plus, cosmetic argan oil reduces inflammation, controls the production of oil and protects against moisture loss. So, it is an ideal treatment for the skin conditions eczema, psoriasis and even acne.

Because it is so moisturizing, argan oil is also beneficial for hair and nails, and pregnant women use it on their growing bellies to prevent stretch marks. Argan oil is even used in spas as an anti aging massage treatment.

Argan oil can be bought as cosmetic or culinary oil, or the cosmetic oil can be found in eye wrinkle creams and anti aging products, such as BABOR Argan Cream. This cream also lists aloe vera and arganyl among its ingredients. Aloe vera moisturizes the skin and reduces inflammation. Arganyl is a solution of antioxidants extracted from argan tree leaves that protects the skin's collagen fibers, preventing breakdown and preserving its elasticity.

With all of its cosmetic, nutritional and therapeutic benefits, it's no surprise that skin care experts are saying argan oil is one of the most promising ingredients to emerge in the anti aging industry.

The Miracle Of Anti Wrinkle Creams: Fact Or Fiction?

February 4, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

by Jen Hopkins

You wake up at 6am to get ready for work, stumble to the sink, splash water on your face, look in the mirror and...try to figure out which one is the Grand Canyon and which are just the cracks. It has happened, is happening, or will happen to each of us- getting old. It starts with realizing weare saying the same things as our parents, it ends when we look in the mirror and see our parents. No matter how weave tried to avoid it, age has slipped up on us and now itas war. Science is lending a hand researching why and how we age and what can best be done to slow it down, stop it, or hide it. We see these results in the cosmetic aisle at the store; brand after brand of makeup looking for the better mix of materials in order to give us all back the appearance of 5-20 years.

It has to be looked at with some skepticism however. These companies that produce anti wrinkle cream are in it to make a buck. They will try to pass off any sort of new product, from a newly discovered plant in an Amazon to animal fat, to say that their products do work.

In doing this they invest millions of dollars a year. Invested in research, discovering new formulas, testing their concoctions and marketing their products to us. With so much invested they need a return on the product to keep the company afloat. Therefore their science is sound as they look to find ways of bettering the competition, and with each new discovery by one company all the others are looking for something they may have missed and so improve their own. One of the latest innovations are wrinkle creams.

Back in the "good old days" wrinkle creams were spackle. You smeared it on and they filled in the cracks. Unfortunately you had to move your face during the day so the creams broke up and allowed the wrinkles to shine through.

Through science, today's "spackle" works a lot better. They combine a filling mixture for the wrinkles with a plumping agent that moisturizes within the pores to add water under the wrinkle and push upwards making a smaller wrinkle to be filled. These can be combined with freezers as well.

The freezers hope to actually freeze the muscles underneath your face. By doing this they lessen the progression of wrinkles, making it much easier to conceal them. This is done in the most problematic of wrinkle areas, from the forehead to the crows feet around the eyes and the wrinkles around the mouth. By producing creams that help to stave off aging, it makes it possible for make ups to be more effective in their task of reducing wrinkles.

The combinations of plumpers, freezers, and fillers can be utilized differently to have different results. These help make traditional makeup much more effective in the war on age. As the science increases we find it possible to use creams and makeups as opposed to plastic surgery- a much better alternative.

In the end the wrinkle creams work. As each person's body is different, various combinations of makeup can be used for different results. Look at what is available and what special needs your own face has and get out there to find a cream that is just right for you

Finding The Best Wrinkle Cream

January 22, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

by Jen Hopkins

Man is a social animal who always want to look attractive. It is natural that you get wrinkles when you age. Women are very keen on looking young and beautiful. That is why millions of women had been using wrinkle creams for many centuries successfully. That itself is a proof that wrinkle creams do work.

It is true that many people often doubt whether the wrinkle creams really work. Please remember that many wrinkle cream manufacturing companies are spending several millions of dollars every year for research and development to improve the quality of these creams still further.

The recent studies have revealed that most of the ingredients used in wrinkle creams are capable of removing wrinkles. There are thousands of wrinkle creams out there in the market. If these creams donat work there wonat be so many creams in the market, is it not? However it is better to identify the best wrinkle cream from the market to get the best results.

How do you find the best wrinkle cream? Before searching for the right product, one must learn the factors that contribute to wrinkle formation. Exposure to UV rays in sun, as well as aging, are the predominant causes for wrinkles. As an individual grows older, important proteins in the skin are not produced at the levels they were during youth, such as Elastin and Collagen. Finding a product that increases these levels will produce the best results.

In a good quality wrinkle cream all the ingredients are mixed in correct proportion. This is really vital to ensure quality of the cream. If the ingredients are not mixed in proper proportion the user may not get good results. Moreover they may even experience side effects as well.

Fine lines often appear on the skin as one ages or gains weight, as the skin begins to loose its elasticity. To remove these unwanted lines and wrinkles, one needs to find the best wrinkle cream avaialable. One important part of a good product is a very good base. The base is the inactive ingredient that holds all of the active ingredients together and carries them to your cells. The best quality products will have a high quality base, mixed with balanced active ingredients.

A very common type of wrinkle that appears as one grows older consists of fine lines at the outer corners of your eyes. The wrinkles often resemble the shape of a crow's foot, and therefore are typically called crow's feet wrinkles. This type of wrinkle can be effectively removed with a good quality wrinkle cream. It is important to research the available products in order to decide which ones will be the most effective for your wrinkles.

Anti-aging products can have a profound effect on your appearance. The selection of products currently available is very extensive, so remember to do some research at home before buying a new product. Find a cream that has healthy ingredients that are correctly mixed with a high quality base. In the end, you won't need to worry any longer about wrinkles, as they can be quickly and effectively removed, providing you with a healthy, youthful look.

Please Don’t Doubt The Efficacy Of Wrinkle Creams

January 13, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

by Jen Hopkins

Man is a social animal who always wants to look attractive. It is natural that you get wrinkles when you age. Women in particular are very keen on looking young and beautiful. That is why millions of women have been using wrinkle creams for many centuries successfully. This obviously indicates that wrinkle creams work.

It has become natural to doubt the claims of consumer products, given the millions that are spent on advertising. The fact is that far more millions are spent on product research into wrinkle creams, making sure that they are as effective as possible. It's hard to believe that profit-driven companies would waste so much money on a product that didn't work.

The active ingredients in wrinkle creams, as recent studies have show, are very effective in removing wrinkles. These ingredients are present in most of the creams available on the market. It's hard to believe that so many wrinkle creams would be available if they didn't work. It is worth spending some time to identify the best wrinkle cream for you.

The primary causes of wrinkles are aging and the exposure of the skin to sunlight. Elastin and Collagen are two chemicals produced by the body that increase the flexibility of skin. As the body ages, less Elastin and Collagen is produced, leading to wrinkles. The best wrinkle cream should act to increase the amount of Elastin and Collagen present in the affected area.

In a good quality wrinkle cream all the ingredients are mixed in correct proportion. This is really vital to ensure the quality of the cream. If the ingredients are not mixed in proper proportion the users may not get satisfactory results. Instead they may even experience side effects.

Fine lines will appear on your body as you age, or if you gain a large amount of weight. This is because your skin will stretch, but it won't always spring all the way back again. If you have this problem, then the best wrinkle cream for you is one that will cause fine lines to fade.

When you age you will get tiny wrinkles at the outer corner of your eyes. They look like crowas feet and hence these wrinkles are called acrows feeta. If you use a good quality anti aging cream you can remove these wrinkles easily. However I suggest you do a bit of research to find the best wrinkle cream in the market as there are too many out there.

In conclusion, wrinkle creams do work and it is worth the time and effort to research the thousands of options that are available to find a good quality wrinkle cream. A good quality wrinkle cream will contain effective active ingredients, mixed according to a sound recipe, suspended in a high-quality base. With all of the wrinkle cream options available today, you shouldn't have to worry about looking young and attractive for a long time.

Information On Wrinkle Cream

January 12, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

by Jen Hopkins

Age is an undeniable force that affects everyone no matter what race you are, how tall or short you are, or how much money you have. It is something that is a part of biological nature that will influence the life of everyone and everything. Aging includes things like droopy skin, a lack of energy, wrinkles, and of course health problems.

One of the most noticeable issues that the public can discern is the addition of wrinkles. Therefore science and technology has come through with many different creams and lotions that proclaim that they will reduce your wrinkles. Although these products have been made available for quite a while now, there is still much controversy as to how well the creams work.

With the increased popularity of wrinkle creams, they are becoming more widely available. So when it comes time to pick out a cream for yourself you will need to determine which ones actually work and which ones only claim to work

Wrinkle creams work in different ways. Some are used as an applicator to conceal the wrinkles however others will give you healthy nourishment for the skin to actually reduce the aging process. This will hopefully in the long term reduce the number of wrinkles or at least halt the process.

Many studies have been done to determine whether or not wrinkle creams really work. Through the clinical tests it has become known that none are truly permanent wrinkle removers however most are able to disguise them so that they are not easily visible.

Wrinkle cream will make the appearance of removing the wrinkles however once a person ceases its use, the wrinkles will reappear usually within thirty days. This is because either the cream is no longer hiding it, or the cream is no longer providing the nutrients and moisturizers that plump up the skin to eliminate the appearance of the wrinkles.

So you may still be wondering what the best way is to get rid of crows feet and try to start the anti aging process. Although creams are good temporary solutions, there are other products available such as cosmetic surgery. However surgery can be very expensive and risky.

Use a good review site to look at testimonials and product information for various wrinkle creams to determine which is best for you. It has been proven that they can reduce the appearance of wrinkles however it should be known that it is not a permanent solution to the aging process.
