Which Is The Most Successful Product In Healing Acne?

Filed under: Anti-Aging Skin Care — Roberta @ 3:52 am

Acne vulgaris (or acne) is a typical human skin condition, characterized by areas of skin with seborrhea (scaly red skin), comedones (blackheads and whiteheads), papules (pinheads), pustules (pimples), nodules (large papules) and possibly scarring. Simply because acne normally happens during a time of striking physical and psychological changes associated with the development of one's body image, it can easily exacerbate social withdrawal and even major depression. Left without treatment, very severe acne can easily produce disfiguring scarring which can easily be hard to treat.

Acne treatment is a result of the mixture of too much sebum and a buildup of dead skin cells. Nobody knows what causes too much sebum to be created. In teens, intensifying hormone levels are thought to be an element. Too much sebum obstructs hair follicles, and small bacteria-filled cysts referred to as comedones form. If these comedones do not rupture, they turn into whiteheads or blackheads. When comedones rupture, the inflammation can easily disperse into the surrounding region. Papules, pustules, cysts, and nodules are different kinds of inflammatory lesions on the skin.

Nevertheless, the dermatologists recommend the use of natural products which can easily identify and entirely eliminate the source of the problem, leaving your skin clear, clean and healthy. It is better to go for a product which also comes with a full money guarantee, so as to make sure that you will get a refund in case you are not satisfied with the given results.

Treatment is directed at reducing sebum production, helping the skin shed dead cells so they don't build up, and stopping bacteria from accumulating. You can easily help by doing the subsequent: wash skin maybe once or twice a day with a gentle face cleaner. Washing more often, scrubbing skin, or using facial masks can easily make acne worse and use oil-free skin care products and cosmetics. Look for products that say "water-based" or "non-comedogenic."

To sum up, acne is not a serious health threat, but very severe acne can easily be painful, emotionally upsetting, and may cause long term scarring. Squeezing lesions on the skin can easily rupture comedones and cause inflammation. Signs or symptoms generally diminish after adolescence and disappear by age 30. Nevertheless, adult acne, particularly in women, seems to be increasing and is not unusual in women in their 30s and 40s.

Wrinkle Cream Studies And Comparisons

Filed under: Face Skin Care — Roberta @ 1:45 pm

If you are trying to find a way to get rid of those lines wrinkles and creases on your face, you want an anti wrinkle cream that will care for your skin while offering maximum results in achieving younger looking skin. A skin care line of anti wrinkle creams that have been developed and tested by a dermatologist will give you the best ingredients for the best results.

Athena 7 Minute Wrinkle Cream

Athena 7 Minute Lift is wrinkle cream that has been very successful at reducing the appearance of wrinkles. The clinical trials on Athena 7 Minute Lift were an overwhelming success, lines and wrinkles were reduced by an average of 84 per cent, with reductions of up to 90 per cent seen as well. During these tests, the results were recorded a mere seven minutes after the initial application. Customer satisfaction with this product it also extremely high - the only downside is that Athena 7 Minute Lift is relatively expensive compared to other wrinkle reducing creams out there as it costs $89. Other popular and effective wrinkle reducing creams include: Freeze 24/7, AlphaDerma CE, and Deception Wrinkle Cream.

Revitol Wrinkle Reducing Skin Creams

One of the top rated dermatologist-recommended wrinkle creams is revitol wrinkle reducing creams. Revitol is not a single product; it is, in fact, a line of products that are geared towards those who want to reverse the affects of aging. Revitol products are made for both men and women, and they are both natural and safe. The company boasts that using Revitol products will cause your skin to look ten years younger. Not only does this skin product treat wrinkles, but it also prevents them as well!

When it comes to slowing or stopping the process of aging, most of us will do just about anything to avoid looking old. However, despite the many commercials you might see with people raving about how a wrinkle cream made them look ten years younger than they actually are, many wrinkle cream studies contradict such claims. Before purchasing any wrinkle reducing cream, especially one that is costly, it is important to read not only the promotional and informative literature that is provided, but the wrinkle cream studies as well.

Wrinkle Creams Studies

In December of 2006, Consumer Reports performed wrinkle cream studies to determine which wrinkle cream works best. The results might come as a surprise, according to them none of the wrinkle creams showed results superior to good sunscreen! Although this study is disputed by many. Nine different wrinkle creams, ranging in price from $38 to $335, were tested on at least 17 different women, all of whom had lighter skin and ranged in age from 30 to 70. For 12 weeks, each woman used a certain wrinkle cream one side of her face, applying the cream according to the manufacturer’s instructions. On the flip side, each woman applied a generic moisturizer with sunscreen.

Wrinkle Cream Makes Getting Older Easier

Filed under: Anti-Aging Skin Care — Roberta @ 11:58 am

Since I'll celebrate the big 40 really soon, I'm starting to worry a bit about looking older. Now, I guess many women start thinking about fighting the signs of aging earlier, but I've always had nice skin and it wasn't until the last year or so when I started noticing changes. It seemed like the perfect time to get with the anti aging program.

When you're young, it's easy to refer to wrinkle creams in a joking way. I don't know about anyone else, but just the thought of wrinkles is not one I want to entertain - at least not as it applies to my skin. No, I prefer anti aging skin care or age prevention solution or something with a nicer ring to it. And, thankfully, the anti wrinkle cream companies agree with me for the most part.

Like this product I found the other day, LifeCell skin cream. It calls itself the all in one anti aging skin treatment. How about that? It sounds much more pleasing than wrinkle cream although it does play pretty rough with wrinkles and a lot of other common age-related skin problems. The reason they call it an all-in-one solution is because you use it everywhere on your face - including around the eyes and mouth. It works on crow's feet and puffiness around the eyes and plumps up lips and gets rid of fine lines around the mouth.

Even though I feel just like a kid in a candy store when I visit my favorite cosmetics counter and check out the skin care products, I'm thinking I could get used to LifeCell skin cream - after all, buying just one product instead of 5 or 6 would mean I'd have extra money to spend on other things.

Hmm... I don't know about you, but I can think of all kinds of things to spend that extra savings on. Goodbye cosmetics counter and hello shoe department!

How To Produce Your Own Organic Face And Hand Cream Goods

Filed under: Skin Care Products — Roberta @ 11:49 am

Frequently it seems that maintaining healthy skin, a great appearance, and an attractive scent costs an arm and leg. However, it is not necessary to commit a significant sum of money to one's external care. There are alternatives.

You don't have to spend a fortune for a high-quality organic face or hand cream. In fact, you can make your own at home with ingredients from your own local organic grocer. Keep reading for a few fantastic recipes for homemade and organic moisturizers.

Almond-Jojoba Nail and Cuticle Treatment

The oil in this treatment will lock in moisture for dry or chapped hands. The honey will condition and strengthen your nails.

Recipe:
2 tablespoons almond oil
2 tablespoons jojoba oil
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons organic honey
1 teaspoon vitamin E oil or several vitamin E capsules broken open

Mix together all the ingredients. Soak your nails, hands and feet in warm water for 10 minutes, and then pat them dry. Massage the treatment lotion into your hands and feet, concentrating on the nails and cuticles. Wash your hands and feet again and then repeat, and again after a bath or shower.

This recipe yields enough organic skin cream for 4 hand treatments or 2 hand and feet treatments. To make an organic face cream that's not as heavy, reduce the amount of honey and oil, and then add water.

Apricot Oil Hand Moisturizer

Apricot oil is particularly effective on skin that is prematurely aged, dry, sensitive or inflamed - making it great for anyone combating sun damage.

Recipe:
6 dried apricots
2 cups water, preferably distilled
1 ounce grated beeswax
1 cup apricot oil
½ cup coconut oil
½ cup aloe vera gel
5 vitamin E capsules, broken open

In a saucepan, bring the water and dried apricots to a boil and simmer for close to 20 minutes. Set this aside to cool. Then in a double boiler, set it over simmering water, or in a heavy saucepan set it over a low heat. Combine the beeswax, apricot oil, and coconut oil and then cook them while stirring constantly, for about 10 minutes. Afterward, pour the mixture into a glass container and set it aside.

Pour the water and apricots into a blender, and blend them until smooth. Strain the mixture through a cheese cloth, discard the solid leftovers and put the liquid back into the blender. Add vitamin E oil and aloe vera gel. Blend this mixture at low speed.

Slowly blend the beeswax mixture into the blender and continue doing so until it has the consistency of cake frosting. Pour the hand moisturizer into jars and store them in a cool place. The mixture will thicken as it cools. Apply the final product to your hands every time you wash them.

Sweet Orange Wrinkle Banisher

This recipe is particularly effective against wrinkles caused by overexposure to the sun as the orange oil helps rejuvenate and revitalize your skin. The almond oil in this unique blend will also help replenish the skin's moisture.

Recipe:

2 teaspoons hazelnut oil
1 teaspoon almond oil
8 drops sweet orange essential oil

Combine the oils and massage gently into your skin. Use the mix each morning and night after cleansing. This is a great organic face cream for older skin.
